Tradlands : Part II

For the second part of the Tradlands shoot, we wanted to try a different approach from the cozy, comfy way we featured the Jones St. Blue in Part I. I love how versatile oxfords shirts can be and Tradlands really takes the cake. They are just tailored enough to look professional but can morph into a great after work adventure shirt in an instant. We headed to a nearby horse farm for our adventure and found the perfect blend of preppy and outdoorsy. I love how the equestrian style is so very put together but also really rustic. There is something special about being dressed to the nines with mud on your boots.

Optiko Zine 4 + Give Away

I am so excited to share with you the gorgeous Optiko Zine. Optiko features film photography from all over the world and showcases it online and in a printed magazine. I was lucky enough to have a feature in the latest volume of the magazine, where you can see photos from a road trip I took with Horace and his sisters across the US. My story of the trip is also a part of the feature, detailing our 5 day journey through Yellowstone, Chicago and few car issues.

Savage River Farm

My Mom and I visited my brother and his fiancee last week at the beautiful Savage River Farm. With my Niece and O in tow, we made it through the mountains (or hills, if you're from out West), down the dirt road to the adorable little farm house that Gregg and Lis call home. The Farm is a part of WWOOF, which is how Gregg and Lis came across it. They have been living and working on the farm since early this year, doing everything from planting and then harvesting the vegetables, to running the tables at the local farmer's market. Its fun to see how much they've learned about the process of running a farm in such a short amount of time. Just being in the mountains for an afternoon was so refreshing and relaxing, I can only imagine what its like to live there. It looks like a lot of hard work with a lot of reward. I don't think I've ever seen my brother look so strong and healthy! Gregg and Lis are getting married in August and are hoping to have a farm of their own some day. Thanks for showing us around guys!

P.S. Owen was attached to my hip for much of the day, thus, hardly any pics. Here's one of him enjoying some of the best strawberries ever:
