quiet

Everything is getting quiet, the sun is leaving sooner, and while the leaves fall off, the clothes pile on. I love the quiet of the fall, when your options for adventure are a bit slimmer than a few weeks ago and kitchen seems to have been waiting for the colder months to act as your heater. Owen enjoys the leaves, especially now that he can walk and crunch them. Horace and I putter around during the long evenings without the pressure of using up the sunlight for all its worth, like we tend to do in the summer. Its good to slow down and rest, hibernate for a little while. "Rest in the Lord and wait patiently for Him." It seems like this season comes at the just right time. 

Family Session : The Ruff Family

Family sessions are such a joy. I love seeing everyone together, fawning over the little ones and just enjoying each others company. With the changing leaves and chilly weather, it was the perfect day to cozy up with some apple cider and baby snuggles. I was so happy to snap these for the sweet Ruff family and I just adore how their love for each other overflows.

Fall Family

I love my family. God has blessed us so much in just being able to live near each other and I'm always thankful for the time we get to share. My sister has some beautiful children and a wonderful husband and I love seeing them play together. I love photographing the kiddos because their joy is right on their faces all the time. Yes, m&ms may have helped a bit, but the kids are just so happy and bright and full of excitement.
