I feel like Seu Jorge would make for great wedding music. Its fun, uptempo and in a different language most of the time. Oh and there's the whole Life Aquatic album where he covers David Bowie in Portuguese. Perfect/

We're throwing a baby shower for my sister tomorrow and I'm so excited to celebrate the little girl that will be here in less than a month! Can't wait to meet her.

The sun is out. The windows are open. I'm ready for some feel good music in my life. 

Have a great weekend! We're headed down South for the first of many summer weddings. Can't wait to celebrate and spend some time on the dance floor. If you know me, you know that is only because I will most definitely be coaxed out by my husband. I'm trying new things here.

My sweet friends from 3rd grade - Anna and Leslie

These are some songs that remind me of the girls in my life - girls I met when I was 8, a girl I've known my whole life, a few I met in college. I love you all so much and miss those of you I don't see regularly so badly. Well, these songs may be a bit embarrassing but I hold them near and dear to me because whenever I come across them, you are the one they remind me of. Each one of them brings to mind your sweet smiles and the fun times we shared together. Not really sure why these songs remind me of you (sorry Anna:P), but I'm always happy when they do.

There are some songs that just work in the winter. I actually can't listen to them in the summer without feeling cold and getting a bit of the winter blues. So since it's (hopefully) my last chance to listen to them while they still seem appropriate, here are some of my favorite cold weather songs.

There's not much better than a good love song, am I right? I have way to many favorites to put them all in one playlist so you can expect these love song playlists to pop up every now and again. We've got a busy weekend ahead of us with our move to our new place (!) but we couldn't be more ready to get in there.

 I'm excited for setting up our rooms and eating at our table and Owen scooting around on the wood floors and picnics in the front yard and swinging from the tree in the back yard and working on the gardens and having real windows and Owen having his own room and putting stuff in our attic and so much more. I hope you have as good of a weekend as we do!

We're in full on painting mode right now at our new place! Its so fun already just getting to pick out colors and ideas and see it all start to come together. Right now, we're painting a beast of a room (dark red walls and ceiling) and we're on our second coat of light paint, so we're hoping we'll be done with this one soon. 

I'm loving the new JT album, so here are some of my favorite older songs (wasn't such a fan of the N'Sync days:) and my favorite from his new album.

With St. Patrick's Day coming up this weekend, I've been getting a little nostalgic about my trip to Ireland with my sister a few years ago. We went right before her wedding, just the two of us and a pair of plane tickets. We flew into Dublin and jumped on the bus and started our two week trip around the southern part of the island. We had an amazing time and I'm so glad we took the opportunity to travel together. You can read all about our trip here.

Spring is coming this weekend! They're calling for 60 degree weather and sunny skies next week and I couldn't be more ready for it.
