Douglas & Co. Detroit

One of my most favorite thrift store finds was in a Salvation Army in Idaho. My roommate Rachel and I would wallow through the racks with the hopes of finding something that could bring us out of our snow covered, paper writing bad attitude. One of these days I came upon a perfect little worn in vintage Coach purse, with long straps and just the right amount of space. Oh, and it was a buck. I still use it to this day and in fact have a few other vintage Coach bags that make the rounds with my plethora of junk I now carry around as a mom.
All of that to say, I have not had a brand new bag in ages. I love getting an already worn in bag, but there is something even better about perfectly smooth, unscathed leather ready to be broken in by me. I came upon Douglas & Co. Detroit through the awesome Trouve Magazine and they were kind enough to send me a Black Tuck and Sew Bag and a Brown Designer Clutch that I instantly fell in love with. The leather is perfect and is already starting to wear in all the right places. The tote is the perfect size for my things (including the random diaper and kid toy:) and the inside pocket makes my phone accessible and safe. Horace has been using the clutch as a pen carrier and has not put it down since it came. The brown leather is so soft and keeps everything in one place in his bag. Needless to say, Douglas & Co. Detroit has a great selection of really quality leather goods for men and women that would make amazing Christmas gifts (or just an anytime gift:) and will definitely be products you'll have for the long haul.

Douglas & Co. Detroit are opening their shop today! Head over there to beat the rush and get your orders in time for Christmas.
